It has been a while since Pooja and I went on a date and what better way to do it than to go for brunch. She’s a big fan of brunch and when I mean fan she’s obsessed, she is o-b-s-e-s-s-e-d!! If any of you ever need help finding good brunch places-ASK POOJA! I don’t know why she hasn’t just started a blog entirely for brunch places in London(*hint hint Pooj*)
This year I’m literally on a mission to explore more of London and hence why I’ll be blogging a lot more and maybe, later on, start daily vlogs. But again, we shall see don’t hold me to this lol! Pooja and I went to the Palm Vaults, which is a cute little vegan-friendly cafe in Hackney. I ordered a rose hot chocolate, the halloumi burger(this is definitely a must-have!) and we had the chocolate vegan cake for dessert. Oh-my-good-god this cake was absolutely beautiful in every way! The icing was so soft and delicate that it just melted in your mouth…mmmm(reminiscing about it already). If any of you haven’t been you should definitely go! It’s a very popular Instagram spot and you will find yourself amongst so many other social media influencers.
How great has the weather been this week?! I have been dying to get to the beach and just relax and yesterday I had the chance to with one of my closest friends. AND GUESS WHAT? I got asked to be a bridesmaid!!! Eek!! The excitement is real. Two of my closest friends are getting married this year and I can’t wait to be a part of their big days and see them get married to amazing men!
The beach we went to was called Camber Sands. If you want to go to a beach which has the softest sand, close by and just simply beautiful-I would highly recommend Camber Sands. I put together a little picnic hamper for me and my friend. I absolutely LOVE my picnic basket haha. I think I bought mine five/six years ago and honestly it’s such a cute little thing to have. As, I said I LOVE my picnic basket haha. I bought one which was for four people, just so I have extra cutlery-something to consider if you guys were to get one. Here are some affordable ones that I found if any of you would like to purchase one :).
I met Raksh over Instagram back in September. I remember the first message she had ever sent me and it was about the looks that I was going to create for Halloween. She was excited to see my looks and suggested a few that I could do and that’s where it all began! I could instantly tell that I was going to get along with her-why do you ask? Because she just understood my banter (I have a dead sense of humour by the way haha)!
She told me she was coming to London and wanted to do a shoot and I said yes instantly! I loved her work and how she captures people in their element.
In January I approached her again about doing a photoshoot for a great cause and that was ANBU UK’s Campaign shoot. Boy, did I give her a challenge with the concept. Capturing emotions is a hard thing to do and how did she do? I told you the girl was talented right? She slayeddd the photoshoot.
Everyone felt so comfortable with her, she worked so quickly and got the shots that she needed. Then the photos? She had edited the photos within a few days and had drop boxed me everything. This is what I call dedication to what you love! Her passion for photography oozes through her.
We then still wanted to do a photoshoot and I was going to go for the typical cafe shoot with the whole pretty setting. This is so not me at all. Raksh pretty much gets me, so when she had suggested the Cereal Killer Cafe, I was just like YES. Sorry I mean YASSSS GURL!! She just got me. I want to say a big thank you to Rakshana for bringing out the best memories from my childhood.
I present to you…
JUMANI X RAKSH.
